Dear friends,
please read this tekstl and forward it to as many of your friends, business
partners, and organizations. Thank you!
This tekstis supposed to point at disrespect of judicial rulings and basic
human rights (the right to worthy living, right to ownership and the right
to protection by law) in the Republic of Croatia. All of these rights
are being disregarded by the local mighty persons in a small town of Novi
Vinodolski. In this town, constitutional rights of a normal citizen remain
to be a dead letter on the paper. By this tekst you are asked to participate
and help us in trying to reach the European institutions, which should
show at least a concern regarding the fact that judicial ruling is being
disregarded by the state institutions such as the Town of Novi Vinodolski
and the police. This way, maybe some progress could be made in the Croatian
society in which everybody's future is very vague and dark if things continue
to be as they are.
The aim of this tekst is not to tell a sad and nearly incredible story
that's been happening for 3 years now. We are daily surrounded by cases
of injustice and ineffectiveness of laws, corrupted officials in ruling
positions, etc…But in this case, when a citizen, Dominik Domain, had finally
attained the judicial ruling (that in normal states indicates the authority
of law), he got confronted with the fight of life. The town of Novi Vinodolski
constantly usurps the land which is in Domian’s property (despite the
existing court order which strictly forbids it). The town of Novi Vinodolski
engaged even the police of another town to bring him to police station
so that representatives of the town could freely take away his belongings
from his property (the fence, pillars, etc.). It is being done repeatedly,
and every time his land is marked as a public area. It’s been done to
enable other, more favorable and honored citizens to use Domian’s property
for their own private interests without being disturbed. That is because
the town had previously allowed to these honored citizens to build a house
with tourist apartments and a restaurant bigger than consented by law,
without parking places included. To illustrate how striking the whole
story is: whenever Mr. Domian was brought to the police station, he never
received any kind of letter, document, anything to confirm and/or explain
the reasons for his bringing in.

By forwarding this e-mail to the addresses listed below, you increase
the chances that international institutions at least make some questions
to our government about the fact that a man’s property is being taken,
that he is being treated as a criminal only because he wishes to live
and use his own property and because he dares to face the local powerful
men. We hope that European institutions will ask an explanation from our
government about the fact that a town and its police consider themselves
above the legal authority of laws. By forwarding this e-mail you show
that you care not only for the others’ but also for your own future and
the future of your friends and families.
